WE’RE LIVE. On a new website. Can you believe it? I can’t.
From the moment I was elected as Online Editor – well, even before that – I had this idea in my head. A new website, social, pretty – green! We’ve worked since September on this, and it gives me great pleasure to be able to announce it: and show off everything we’ve achieved.
I can’t say everything I’d like to in this little blog as I’d be eating into a massive chunk of mine and Mitch’s speech at our awards ceremony tomorrow night, but suffice it to say I’m proud of what we’ve done now, and I hope you like it as much as we do. It’s a massive step forwards for ASM, both back-end and in our public portrayal, and it’s lovely to see everything and everyone coming together for that final push.
The main changes we have is the Bay Radio player (look up!), complete with chatbox. The Bay Radio site’s still there, and you can still visit it; but we’re moving on with the integration that started when Steffan Storch and Guy Drury founded ASM in 2011, bringing together the Courier, Bay Radio and Bay TV – now they truly do have one home. We’re also improving the blog element, and the entire website in general has so many cool things which have just made it so much better – I’m sure we’ll still be playing with them for the next few weeks!
I’d just like to say a MASSIVE thanks to everyone who’s been involved in this whole process: to Theo Taylor, our lovely web admin, Kieran Dunbar, who’s been an absolute lifesaver for me today, and who I know has worked so hard with Theo – and finally Andrew Simpson, Mitch Rushton and Pete Le Riche for their input, ideas and just general belief in both me and ASM as a whole. We wouldn’t be here without all of you.
Come to our event, Alt Bay presents Re:Launch (I bet you all understand why it’s called that now…) to celebrate with us. Just £3 on the door.
